Generic Strattera is used for the treatment of attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It is a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor medicine. The medicine may help increase attention and decrease impulsiveness and hyperactivity in patients with ADHD.

Attentrol capsules should be used as a part of a total treatment program for ADHD that may include counseling or other therapies.
This medicine has not been studied in children less than 6 years old.<

Attentrol Capsules (Generic Strattera) - Dosage

The recommended starting dose of Attentrol Capsules for adults as well as children and adolescents over 70 kg is 40 mg once a day.

Attentrol Capsules (Generic Strattera) - Contraindications

Attentrol Capsules are contraindicated in patients with the following conditions: Hypersensitivity to Atomoxetine HCl or any inactive constituents of Attentrol capsules . Generic Strattera capsules should not be taken if you or your child are allergic to any of its ingredients or if you are taking or have taken within the past 14 days an anti-depression medicine called a monoamine oxidase inhibitor or MAOI. Some brands of MAOI medicines include Nardil® (phenelzine sulfate), Parnate® (tranylcypromine sulfate) and Emsam® (selegiline transdermal system).
You should also not take this medicine if you have an eye problem called narrow angle glaucoma.
This medicine may not be right for you or your child. Before starting this medicine tell your doctor or your child's doctor about all health conditions (or a family history of) including:
