Uses of Generic Rhinocort Aqua Nasal Spray (Derinide AQ Nasal Spray by German Remedies)

This medicine is used to treat nasal symptoms such as congestion, sneezing, and runny nose caused by seasonal or year-round allergies. Generic Rhinocort Aqua is also used to keep nasal polyps from coming back after surgery to remove them.

Generic Rhinocort Aqua Nasal Spray (Derinide AQ Nasal Spray) - Dosage

The recommended starting dosage of Derinide AQ Nasal Spray (Budesonide Nasal Spray) for adults and children 6 years of age and older is given below:
Seasonal or Perennial Allergic Rhinitis in Adults and Children (6 years of age and older)
Initially, two sprays in each nostril every morning. For maintenance, one spray in each nostril once daily.
Nasal Polyps
One spray in each nostril, morning and evening, for up to 3 months.
Not recommended for children below 6 years of age.

How to Use Generic Rhinocort Aqua Nasal Spray (Derinide AQ Nasal Spray)

Derinide AQ Nasal Spray is used for the management of nasal symptoms of seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children, 6 years of age and older. It is also used for the treatment of nasal polyps. Use Generic Rhinocort Aqua exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not use the medication in larger amounts, or use it for longer than recommended by your doctor. Follow the directions on your prescription label.
The usual dose of Generic Rhinocort Aqua is 1 to 4 sprays into each nostril once per day. Follow your doctor's instructions.
 

Before using the spray for the first time, you must prime the spray pump. Shake the medicine well and spray 8 test sprays into the air and away from your face. Spray until a fine mist appears. Prime the spray pump any time you have not used your nasal spray for longer than 2 days. If longer than 2 weeks has passed, rinse the applicator and prime with 2 test sprays.
Shake the medicine bottle well just before each use. It may take up to 2 weeks of using this medicine before your symptoms improve. For best results, keep using the medication as directed. Talk with your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after a week of treatment.

To be sure Generic Rhinocort Aqua is not causing harmful effects on your nose or sinuses, your doctor may want to check your progress on a regular basis. Do not miss any scheduled visits to your doctor.
Store Generic Rhinocort Aqua in an upright position at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.

Generic Rhinocort Aqua is contraindicated in persons with a hypersensitivity to Budesonide or any inactive ingredient present in Derinide AQ Nasal Spray.

Warnings & Precautions When Using Budesonide Nasal Spray (Derinide AQ Nasal Spray)

You should not use Generic Rhinocort Aqua Nasal Spray if you are allergic to Budesonide.
Before using Budesonide Nasal Spray, tell your doctor if you have been sick or had an infection of any kind. You may not be able to use Derinide AQ Nasal Spray until you are well.
Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs, or if you have:

• liver disease;

• glaucoma or cataracts;

• herpes simplex virus of your eyes;

• tuberculosis or any other infection or illness;

• sores or ulcers inside your nose; or

• if you have recently had injury of or surgery on your nose.
