The active ingredient present in D-Veniz tablets is Desvenlafaxine Succinate . Each D-Veniz tablet contains 76 mg or 152 mg of Desvenlafaxine Succinate equivalent to 50 mg or 100 mg of Desvenlafaxine.

Take Desvenlafaxine Extended Release tablets exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Desvenlafaxine ER tablets can be taken with or without food. Try to take the medicine at the same time each day.
Do not crush, chew, break, or dissolve the extended-release tablet. Swallow it whole. Breaking the pill may cause too much of the drug to be released at one time.
It may take several weeks before your symptoms improve. Keep using this medicine as directed and tell your doctor if your symptoms do not improve after a few weeks of treatment. Do not stop using this medicine suddenly, or you could have unpleasant symptoms. Your blood pressure will need to be checked often. Visit your doctor regularly.
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
Generic Pristiq (D-Veniz Tablets) - Contraindications
Generic Pristiq (D-Veniz Tablets) is contraindicated in patients with a hypersensitivity to Desvenlafaxine Succinate, Venlafaxine Hydrochloride or any inactive ingredients present in the D-Veniz formulation.
Serotonin syndrome and MAOIs: Do not use MAOIs intended to treat psychiatric disorders with Generic Pristiq or within 7 days of stopping treatment with Generic Pristiq. Do not use D-Veniz (Generic Pristiq) within 14 days of stopping an MAOI intended to treat psychiatric disorders. In addition, do not start Generic Pristiq in a patient who is being treated with linezolid or intravenous methylene blue.
Desvenlafaxine Side effects
The most common side effects of Desvenlafaxine Extended Release tablets with an incidence rate of 5% or more and twice the rate of placebo were nausea, dizziness, insomnia, hyperhidrosis, constipation, somnolence, decreased appetite, anxiety, and specific male sexual function disorders.
Get emergency medical help if you have any signs of an allergic reaction including: skin rash or hives, difficulty breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Report any new or worsening symptoms to your doctor such as mood or behavior changes, anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, or if you feel impulsive, irritable, agitated, hostile, aggressive, restless, hyperactive (mentally or physically), more depressed, or have thoughts about suicide or hurting yourself.

• seizure (convulsions)
• agitation, hallucinations, fever, fast heart rate, overactive reflexes, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of coordination
• blurred vision, eye pain, or seeing halos around lights
• cough, chest tightness, trouble breathing
• easy bruising or bleeding (nosebleeds, bleeding gums), blood in your urine or stools, coughing up blood
• very stiff (rigid) muscles, high fever, sweating, confusion, fast or uneven heartbeats, tremors, feeling like you might pass out
• severe skin reaction, fever, burning in your eyes, skin pain, or skin blistering and peeling
• headache, trouble concentrating, memory problems, weakness, feeling unsteady, confusion, hallucinations, fainting, shallow breathing or breathing that stops
Less serious side effects may include:
• increased sweating
• dizziness, drowsiness
• loss of appetite
• mild nausea, constipation
• sleep problems (insomnia)
• decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm

Warnings & Precautions When Using Generic Pristiq (D-Veniz Tablets)
You should not take Generic Pristiq if you are allergic to Desvenlafaxin (the active ingredient) or if you are using a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as furazolidone (Furoxone®), isocarboxazid (Marplan®), phenelzine (Nardil®), rasagiline (Azilect®), selegiline (Eldepryl®, Emsam®), or tranylcypromine (Parnate®). You must wait at least 14 days after stopping an MAOI before you can take this medicine. After you stop taking this medicine, you must wait at least 7 days before you start taking an MAOI. Do not take this medicine together with venlafaxine (Effexor®).
To make sure you can safely take D-Veniz tablets, tell your doctor if you have any of these other conditions:
• bipolar disorder (manic depression)
• liver disease
• liver or kidney disease
• heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or a history of stroke
• kidney disease
• glaucoma
• seizures or epilepsy
• a history of stroke
• a bleeding or blood clotting disorder
• low levels of sodium in your blood
• if you are switching to this medicine from another antidepressant
You may have thoughts about suicide when you first start taking an antidepressant, especially if you are younger than 24 years old. Tell your doctor if you have worsening symptoms of depression or suicidal thoughts during the first several weeks of treatment or whenever your dose is changed. Your family or other caregivers should also be alert to changes in your mood or symptoms. Your doctor will need to check you at regular visits for at least the first 12 weeks of treatment.
Drinking alcohol can increase certain side effects of desvenlafaxine. This medicine may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert. Avoid exposure to sunlight or tanning beds. This medicine can make you sunburn more easily. Wear protective clothing and use sunscreen (SPF 15 or higher) when you are outdoors.
Desvenlafaxine During Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Desvenlafaxine has been classified by the US FDA as Pregnancy Category C. Neonates exposed to SNRIs (Serotonin and Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors), or SSRIs (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors), late in the third trimester have developed complications that required prolonged hospitalization, respiratory support, and tube feeding. Such complications can also arise immediately upon delivery. Reported clinical findings included respiratory distress, cyanosis, apnea, seizures, temperature instability, feeding difficulty, vomiting, hypoglycemia, hypotonia, hypertonia, hyperreflexia, tremor, jitteriness, irritability, and constant crying in babies exposed to SNRIs or SSRIs befor birth. Desvenlafaxine tablets (Generic Pristiq) should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefits justify the potential risks to the fetus. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment.
Desvenlafaxine tablets (Generic Pristiq) can pass into breast milk. Do not use this medicine without telling your doctor if you are breastfeeding a baby.
Alcohol and Desvenlafaxine
In postmarketing experience, overdose with venlafaxine (the parent medicine of Generic Pristiq ) has occurred in the vast majority of cases in combination with alcohol and/or other drugs. The most commonly reported symptoms in overdosage include tachycardia, changes in level of consciousness (ranging from somnolence to coma), mydriasis, seizures, and vomiting.
