Generic Lamisil Cream (Terbicip cream) is an allylamine antifungal which is used for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton (e.g., T. rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, T. verrucosum, T. tonsurans, T. violaceum ), Microsporum canis and Epidermophyton floccosum. Terbinafine Hydrochloride 1% cream is also used to treat Yeast infections of the skin, principally those caused by the genus Candida (e.g., Candida albicans ) and Pityriasis (tinea) versicolor, due to Pityrosporum orbiculare (also known as Malassezia furfur ). Pityriasis (tinea) versicolor, due to Pityrosporum orbiculare (also known as Malassezia furfur) can also be treated using this medicine.

What is Generic Lamisil (Terbicip Cream) Used For?
Terbicip is used to treat Athlete's foot (tinea pedis), ringworm on the body (tinea corporis), and ringworm in the groin also know as jock itching (tinea versicolor), and lastly yeast infections on the skin (cutaneous candidiasis).

Generic Lamisil Cream (Terbicip Cream) - Dosage
Terbinafine cream can be applied once or twice daily. Cleanse and dry the affected areas thoroughly before application of Terbinafine cream.
Apply the cream to the affected skin and surrounding area in a thin layer and rub in lightly.
How to Use Generic Lamisil Cream (Terbicip Cream)
Wash the affected area with water and soap and let it dry throughly. Apply a small amount of Terbicip cream (Generic Lamisal cream) to the arrea and surrounding area. Terbicip Cream (Terbinafine Hydrochloride 1%) is usually applied twice daily for 1 to 4 weeks.
Generic Lamisil Cream (Terbinafine Topical Cream) - Contraindications
Generic Lamisil Cream is contraindicated in patients that have a hypersensitivity to Terbinafine Hydrochloride or any inactive component of Terbicip cream.

The side effects of Terbinafine Hydrochloride Cream (Generic Lamisil cream) are redness, itching, stinging at the site of application. However, treatment rarely has to be discontinued for this reason.
Seek immediate medical attention or go to your nearest doctors’ clinic, hospital, or emergency room if you experience an allergic reaction or suffer a hypersensitive reaction such as difficulty in breathing or swallowing, swelling of the limbs or face, tight chest, hives, and skin rashes. Stop using Terbicip Cream and call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as:

· Peeling
· Itching
· Indigestion
· Headache
· Dryness
· Burning
· Irritation
· Diarrhea
Do not use Terbicip Cream while breast feeding or if you are pregnant.
Warnings & Precautions
Terbicip cream is not known to cause any serious side effects. Please keep Generic Lamisil Cream (Terbinafine Topical Cream) out of the reach of children. Terbicip Cream is for external use only. Contact with the eyes has to be avoided. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, please rinse the eyes thoroughly with running water.
Good general hygiene is required along with with the use of Terbinafine Topical Cream in order to prevent re-infection (e.g. from underwear, socks, shoes, etc.).
Terbinafine Topical Cream (Generic Lamisil Cream) During Pregnancy
Foetal toxicity and fertility studies conducted in animals suggest no adverse effects. Since, clinical experience in pregnant women is very limited, Terbinafine Topical cream should not be used during pregnancy unless the potential benefits outweigh any potential risks.
Terbinafine Hydrochloride Cream (Generic Lamisil) During Breastfeeding
Terbinafine HCl is excreted in breast milk and, therefore, lactating mothers should not use Terbinafine cream (Generic Lamisil cream). Infants should also not be allowed to come into contact with any treated skin, including the breasts.
