The active pharmaceutical ingredient present in Dapotime Tablets is Dapoxetine Hydrochloride. Each Dapotime tablet contains 60 mg of Dapoxetine.

Uses of Dapotime Tablets

Dapotime Tablets is a treatment for men with frequent premature ejaculation (PE) problems. Premature Ejaculation is a common sexual disorder in which ejaculation happens before or soon after penetration has occurred and with a very small sexual stimulation.

Dapotime is used to treat premature ejaculation in adult men aged 18 to 64 years since it increases the time it takes to ejaculate and can improve the control over the ejaculation. This could reduce the frustration or worry about fast ejaculation.

Premature ejaculation is when a man ejaculates with little sexual stimulation and before the man wants. This can cause problems for the man and may cause problems in sexual relationships.

Dapotime Tablets - Dosage

Dapotime tablets are for oral use and must be swallowed whole. It is recommended that Generic Dapoxetine tablets be taken with at least one full glass of water. Generic Dapoxetine tablets may be taken with or without food Patients must be cautioned to avoid situations where injury could result should syncope or its prodromal symptoms such as dizziness or light-headedness occur.

The maximum recommended dose of 60 mg, and the starting dose for all patients is 30 mg. Consult your doctor for exact dosing instructions. Dapotime Tablets - Contraindications

Dapotime tablets are contraindicated in patients with a hypersensitivity to Dapoxetine Hydrochloride or any inactive ingredient present in tablets. Dapotime tablets are contraindicated in the following cases:
 

• Dapotime is contraindicated in patients with significant pathological cardiac conditions (such as heart failure (NYHA class II-IV), conduction abnormalities (second-or third-degree AV block or sick sinus syndrome) not treated with a permanent pacemaker, significant ischemic heart disease or significant valvular disease.
• Dapotime is contraindicated for concomitant treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), or within 14 days of discontinuing treatment with an MAOI. Similarly, an MAOI should not be administered within 7 days after Dapotime has been discontinued.
• Dapotime is contraindicated for concomitant treatment with thioridazine, or within 14 days of discontinuing treatment with thioridazine. Similarly, thioridazine should not be administered within 7 days after Dapotime has been stopped.
• Dapotime is contraindicated for concomitant treatment with serotonin reuptake inhibitors [selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs), tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs)] or any other medicinal or herbal products with serotonergic effects or within 14 days of stopping treatment with these medicinal/herbal products. Similarly, these medicinal/herbal products should not be administered within 7 days after Dapotime has been discontinued.
• Dapotime is contraindicated for concomitant treatment with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, saquinavir, telithromycin, nefazodone, nelfinavir, atazanavir, etc.
• Dapotime is contraindicated in patients with moderate and severe hepatic impairment.

Generic Dapoxetine Tablets Warnings and Precautions

Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse before taking Generic Dapoxetine tablets (Dapotime tablets) if:

• You have not been diagnosed with premature ejaculation
• You also have another sexual problem, such as erectile dysfunction
• You have a history of dizziness from low blood pressure
• You use recreational drugs such as ecstasy, LSD, narcotics or benzodiazepines
• You drink alcohol
• You have ever had a mental health problem such as depression,mania (symptoms include feeling over-excited, irritable or not being able to think clearly), bipolar disorder (symptoms include serious mood swings between mania and depression) or schizophrenia (a psychiatric disease)
• You have epilepsy
• You have a history of bleeding or blood clotting problems

Generic Dapoxetine Hydrochloride (Dapotime) - Overdosage

There have been no reports of Dapoxetine overdose during clinical trials. There were no unexpected adverse effects in a clinical pharmacology study of Dapoxetine Hydrochloride tablets with daily doses up to 240 mg (two 120 mg doses given 3 hours apart). In general, symptoms of overdose with SSRIs include serotonin-mediated adverse reactions such as somnolence, gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea and vomiting, tachycardia, tremor, agitation and dizziness.

In cases of overdose, standard supportive measures should be used as required. Due to high protein binding and large volume of distribution of Dapoxetine Hydrochloride, forced diuresis, dialysis, hemoperfusion and exchange transfusion are not likely to be of any benefit. No specific antidotes for Dapotime (Generic Dapoxetine Hydrochloride) are currently known.

Generic Dapoxetine and Alcohol

Alcohol must be avoided when taking Generic Dapoxetine Hydrochloride (Dapotime). The effects of alcohol such as feeling dizzy, sleepy and having slow reactions, can be increased if taken with this medicine. Combining alcohol with may increase alcohol-related neurocognitive effects and may also enhance neurocardiogenic adverse effects such as syncope, thereby increasing the risk of accidental injury. Hence, patients should be strongly advised to avoid alcohol. Drinking alcohol while taking Dapotime may increase your risk of injury from fainting or from other side effects.

Driving and using machines

You may feel sleepy, dizzy, faint, have difficulty concentrating and blurred vision while taking Generic Dapoxetine Tablets (Dapotime) . In case you experience any of these or similar effects, you should avoid driving or operating hazardous machinery. The effects of alcohol can be increased if taken with this medicine and you may be more at risk of injury from fainting or from other side effects if you take this medicine with alcohol.

Dapoxetine Hydrochloride During Pregnancy

Dapoxetine Hydrochloride has been classified by the FDA as Pregnancy Category C (AU TGA ). Dapotime (Generic Dapoxetine Hydrochloride) is not indicated for use by women.

There is no evidence of teratogenicity, embryotoxicity, or fetotoxicity in rats or rabbits that received up to 100 mg/kg (rats) or 75 mg/kg (rabbits). There is no evidence to suggest that Dapoxetine exposure has an effect on a partner's pregnancy based on limited observational data from the clinical trial database. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies of dapoxetine in pregnant women.

Dapoxetine Hydrochloride Nursing Considerations

Dapoxetine Hydrochloride is not indicated for use by women. It is not known if either Dapoxetine or its metabolites are excreted in human breast milk.
Do not use Dapotime (Generic Dapoxetine Hydrochloride) without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.
